So there I was racking my brains for a Z subject when I could have written about my collection of Zuni fetishes. Small (both the collection and the fetishes) but charming. Ah well, another day. I'm sure I'll be flailing around for something to post about soon enough.
I am certainly charging up my sleep batteries. Monday night I was in bed by 10 and asleep before 10:30. Last night I was in bed by 10:30 and asleep before 11, but I also had a 2 hour nap in the evening. We're having out of town company this weekend (Hi, Janet!) and it looks as though she has the choice of a clean and tidy house or a hostess who can keep her eyes open. I'll make sure she has clean sheets and a clean bathroom and bourbon...and try to get Mr. Pointy Sticks to run around with the loud sucky thing...I think it's called a vacuum...and that'll probably be the extent of the housecleaning. (Sorry, Janet!)
I gotta say...I enjoyed the Alphabet Challenge but it is sort of nice not to worry about subject matter. And Rachel probably likes the lack of bold faced words. Perhaps I should boldface some randomly just for old times sake.

I finished Bonk, which was, as all of Roach's books are, very amusing. Well, I imagine that guys reading it might be wincing a lot more...and wanting to put something sturdy between their delicate parts and Mary Roach...but I enjoyed it. It'll be interesting to see what she decides to study next. And may I say, her husband is a gem.
Now reading Robert McCammon's Boy's Life, a gripping ole horror story. I kept starting other things and not getting hooked and then I saw this and fell into it. I'm just not in the mood for more serious reads, I guess.
