Alphabet Challenge #13 - MmMmMmMalabrigo

Okay, if I like Noro's Kureyon, I looooooove Malabrigo. Pure merino wool. The buttery softness, the plump little stitches, the colors, the ability to spit splice (I really like spit-splicing...it's like my own little magic trick) - what can I say? It's my favorite yarn. If I were dropped on a desert island, it's Malabrigo I'd want to be marooned with...especially if the desert island were chilly.

Even the names of the colors are yummy....Amoroso, Bergamota, Glazed Carrot, Verde Adriana, Verde Esperanza, Paris Night, Applewood. The names begin conjuring beauty before you even get the yarn on your needles.

And now they have something called Silky Merino. I can't wait to get my hands on this. Look at the colors for this yarn! Be still my heart. I think The Black Sheep will be getting some of this. I can't wait to see it in person.

Current Reading

And ooooh, I forgot to mention that I am now about half-way through Red Seas Under Red Skies and I am loving it. Every bit as much fun as the first book, at least so far. Such a great ride.

Hey Rooie, thanks for commenting on my blog! I have to say that I agree Malabrigo IS fabulously yummy. (but I'm still going to that island with mohair!)
