So...I'm Thinking This Is A No-Go
Here's the red scarf so far. It's curling rather badly and, while the pattern looks pretty cool in the front, the back is bleah. I think I'd better rip it out before I get any more invested in it.
Sorry about the scarf. I agree with you about the learning to knit entry. I spent almost a year trying to teach myself using a book but it wasn't until a kindly shop owner made me sit down with her that I really got it. Too stubborn and too used to reading to learn to realize how much easier it would be to learn from a person!
