Fatty Fattner

I had to go shopping today for an outfit for my co-worker's wedding. And I found something, so that's good. But man, I hate shopping and this time was especially bad. It's easy to lie to yourself about your weight when all you see is your reflection in your medicine cabinet mirror. But that full length mirror in the fitting room....yeouch.

And until about a year ago I was using my exercise bike faithfully...three times a week, 35-45 minutes a time. Sometimes longer. And then various things happened... we redid the house and the bike was in the garage for 6 months...and I twisted my knee...and inertia set in.

But I've got to get serious again. So I'm going to start recording my biking here on the blog. Maybe it'll keep me honest.

And help me lose a little weight.

Wish me luck.

I can soooo relate. My husband asked me last night if I wanted to go to Denver Saturday night for his company's annual "gala". Formal attire. I have a few formal party dresses in the closet but none of them fit anymore, so I declined. He didn't fuss - I don't think he wanted to go rent a tux. :o)

You can do it! One day at a time.

Thanks for the pat on the back.

And fortunately, Sarah, this isn't a big formal do. The skirt, top and sweater I got look nice but they will do for work, too. At least the top and sweater will...I never wear a skirt to work.

I was on vacation a couple of years back. At the bottom of the stairs the hotel had a mirror that made us look much slimmer. We called it the magic mirror. Stores would be smart to have these in the fitting rooms.
