A couple of days ago I was putting something away in my closet and found this bag stuffed in a corner:
Inside were twelve skeins of Markoma Kid Mohair in an icy pale turquoisey blue. I think my mom picked this up for me on a trip to Switzerland....has to be fourteen or fifteen years old...
There's about 1400 yards of it. Any suggestions?

make a throw with the mohair. I find it too itchy to actually wear mohair but it's delicious to snuggle under.
That's assuming, of course, that 1400 yards is enough to make a blanket ... I have no idea how that knitting stuff works.
I wish I could knit! I tried it, however I kept getting crazy with the yarn moving against my fingers making them a tad sensitive, crazy I know. Great blog.
Make, in homage to your mother, a mohair swing coat for yourself with one or three huge buttons on it.

ML, I am so not the swing coat kind of person, you know that. Besides, there isn't enough for that. I think it'll probably be an elaborate scarf or shawl.
Ooh. It's pretty (and I love the Loopy Ewe colors! Payday is tomorrow!), but....I'm making a scarf with some kid mohair right now and I'm about to kill myself. Be vewy vewy caweful (not because I'm hunting wabbits) because it's really hard to unknit or rip. The stupid mohair sticks to itself. I nearly threw the scarf away last night and bought some normal laceweight. Like I said, pretty, but such a pain in the a....
